I’m interviewed frequently about how and why I started a business based on families over profit and the truth is- if there weren’t so many families who can’t afford to hire a minister, floral designer or event coordinator- there would be no market for my multigenerational family to swap, flip or trade for services.
Every family is unique with the details that desire for their Dream Event but, they all share a common bond of tight budgeting that prevents them from simply picking up a phone and hiring someone or, “charging it!” You see, my client base for the Pawning Planners We Take Trades for Services! The Pawning Planners is vastly different from Texas Twins Events Wedding and Event Services and Ceremonies Texas Twins Events in that a Texas Twins Events client can pay by credit card, cash or check and more importantly- has the ability and income to do so. Our tiny Texas Twins love every aspect of the Pawning Process and enjoy going on an adventure with my saucy sidekick and identical twin sister, Cindy Daniel’s adventures to “hit a lick” at estate sales and local salvage shops. You see, we’ve been digging through trash to find treasure for most of our lives and our children are pretty good scavengers too when “on the hunt” for something to add to our inventory at Texas Twins Treasures. You see, every family we help had nowhere else to turn for help other than my unique and talented team of dedicated family members and, we were honored to accommodate these strangers who became our friends. Building an inventory wasn’t easy and took some time but, having anything and everything necessary to effectively “pull it all together” was important to the overall execution of a Dream Event. Perhaps my team and I cared more than others about helping folks that were short on funding? I’m not sure, but I am certain that hundreds of families later that the need for reduced pricing is very real and the families who come to us are as unique as the many events and ceremonies we do. No two families are alike and versatility within my team is how we overcome the snag here and there when we are in the Pawning Process. To effectively make this business work, dedication and intuition when evaluating a trade and the refurbish process is key to “hitting a lick” or, making a small profit. My crafty and creative team work together to appraise and refurbish items.
We are a team dedicated to overcoming the boundaries of budgets and giving the gift of a Dream Event one family at a time from Fort Worth, Texas. My family and I want to thank our friends, twins and connections for another successful year of serving ya all as we look forward to our 5th year in the wedding and events industry.
