Luckilly, whatever one of us isn’t good at- the other twin is! Recently, Cindy and I took our tiny Texas Twins aka The Little Pawners, Maryssa & Makenna Mahaney to Six Flags and when Maryssa couldn’t make the basket- Makenna did for her. Maryssa and Makenna Mahaney YouTube saving the day in a twinning way.Maryssa would love to win but Makenna has a special “knack” for sucker games and sucker machines to such an extent that she often wins two prizes so her twin can have one. I’ve often asked to just buy the prize and save myself all the money it will cost trying to win it at carnivals and fun parks! Cindy can make a fabulous hair accessory out of scraps from my floral designs while I cannot. I can create floral designs and refurbish furniture while Cindy cannot. Having a twin can sometimes make you wish to be competitive at something you will never be as good at as your twin is.
While both sets of these Texas Twins would love to have the talents of each other- it simply isn’t going to happen and once we accept that and “move on” we can get right back to twinning and winning with our mirror images. Cindy and Maryssa are both “Good Time Charlie’s” who seek out fun wherever we are and whatever we are doing while Makenna and I are more focused on paying attention to the task at hand and when working as a “team” Maryssa and Cindy “team up” with Makenna and I working together. We call the Little Pawners Mimi Me’s because they act just like us.Cindy and I haven’t dressed alike in years but, one day just might if I could get her past the idea that all clothing must be “comfortable!” The tiny Texas Twins still dress alike and are as close to each other as Cindy and I are although all of us can occasionally bicker about our twin- it should be noted that the bond of “twinship” supersedes nearly any other relationship that twins may have- including our husbands. We talk to each other far more than we do to our husbands and they accept our connection. If I cut my hair, Cindy complains about it but eventually, will cut hers too. When we diet- it’s a competition to see who can lose the most weight and at 50 with menopause and thyroid issues- it is an ongoing battle dear readers. Tomorrow we are heading to the Dallas Pride Parade to support our friends within the LBGTQ Community and, the Little Pawners are looking forward to the Kid Zone with “family friendly” games and events. Will there be a competition to win a prize? I’m certain the possibility exists but, with two sets of twins, whoever can’t win will just run off and find their twin!
